So much for that idea... How about Norton/Symantec products, they can
also cause this kind of problem.
Is this a new problem? Did you move the pagefile to a new location
before this began? If you moved the pagefile to a new location did you
keep a minimal pagefile on the boot volume? Did you change permissions
on the drive and folder where the pagefile is located? Do you have
enough free space on the drive for the pagefile? Did you use imaging
products like "Ghost" to prepare drives on your system?
Maybe the pagefile is corrupt, delete the pagefile by setting it to
minimum and maximum size of zero then run a chkdsk on the drive, if the
drive is on the boot volume a chkdsk will be scheduled at the next
reboot:

Or you can delete the pagefile from the recovery console then while
booted to the Recovery Console run a chkdsk on the drive.
