I don't know what the problem is, but I have tried
everything I can find or think of to fix it.
I'm pretty sure the problem started the other day when
I used some data recovery software to get some files off
of a floppy that my synthesizer ate. After I did that, I
just decided to see what I could find on my windows drive.
I didn't change or alter anything at all, but now my
windows is not recognizing the pagefile I have assigned.
I can go in and change the pagefile to another drive,
change the size, etc, but it still says that the total
amount of all drive space dedicated to pagefile is 0MB.
Additionally I have noticed that when I go to shutdown my
computer, the option for "Standby" is now greyed out. I
have done everything from using system recovery to copy
and delete the pagefile.sys to reinstalling XP. The
problem still exists. HELP! :S
