Hi all

i've been dealing will imaging machines with fat32/32x/16 for quite
awhile now but only recently needed to do it with ntfs--and couldn't.
using drive image 7, i created a succesfull image and dropped it
sucesfully as well. however, even though it booted properly, when i
attempted to logon in the syste told me the pagefile was missing or too
small, resulting in no logon. coming across the network to the C$, i
could see it was there. i tried to create one with the management
console connected to the target device, and although it seemed to
create, it continued to deny me logon, asking for a pagefile.
how can i create a pagefile that windows will accept as it's own from
across the network?

device is w2ksp4

Run regedt32 to access the problem registry remotely,
then check the location of the paging file. Where does
it point to?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\
Memory Management

sounds good, but is that going to point to merely a drive or an actual
starting address for pagefile.sys? im assuming the registry entry will
be empty entirely--since the paefile.sys IS indeed there. so i should
fill that with a drive letter, or a \drive0\xxxxxxxx format entry?

Why don't you have a look for yourself?

Man if Pegasus says it's gonna rain, I get my umbrella.
He is a class act. Hard to follow.

If you want to know why I am the way I am; My old whipped my
ass when he didn't "get any", much for other things. That's
why I make sure folks get all they want. Like the guy said
making love to the Skunk, he didn't get all he wanted, just
as much as he could stand.
