Page-wide line

At one time my Word 97 program would draw a line across the page if I typed
three underscores , ___ and hit return, but this no longer works. Is there a
setting for it? I'd appreciate help, pls.

This is an AutoCorrect option. Try to insert a new AutoText entry and
go to the Options area and make sure you have evreything checked.

Tools | Autocorrect Options | AutoFormat as you Type tab
Under the Apply as you type section, check the box in front of Border lines
and click OK.

Typing 3 dashes will give you a normal line. Typing 3 underscores will give
you a bold line. Typing 3 equal signs will give you a double line.
