page vs site transitions (format menu)

Hi

hope this is the right group ... trying to come to terms with Frontpage
2003 and have the option under the format menu of page transitions .. when i
go in there it mentions both site & page transitions ... my guess is that
the site transition is when you enter or exit the site - but i can't seem to
get it to work and i can't find anything in help on it.

Could someone let me know what it means and how i can demo it?

Don't bother (my opinion). It adds a delay (perhaps a big one) to each
page, it's IE only, and it is annoying after the first time.

understood, but what i'm trying to figure out is the difference between page
& site transitions ... is site purely for entering / exiting the site, and
page set for each page individually or something else (as "site" seems to
have no impact when i test it).
