page numbers in bottom toolbar

I used to have the page numbers (xx of xx) show up in the toolbar at the
bottom of my Word document, but these are no longer there and i can't figure
out how to get them back. They were always very useful when preparing a
document with a page limit. Can anyone help me figure out how to get this
back?

Right-click the status bar (it isn't really a toolbar) and choose whatever items
you want to see there.

The problem is that I don't seem to have the status bar at all anymore. All
that is on the bottom is the view options and the scroll bar. When I right
click on these I get nothing that will help me. I'm using Word 2003 if that
makes a difference

ctually, now that i know what it's called i've been able to get it back.

In 2003, go to tolls, options, then select status bar
