I have a long document in Word 2000. I divided it in sections for each chapter, and at the end I have a chapter named Appendix A. The pages thru the all document are numbered from 1 to 150, and I want to go with A-1, A-2, etc. for Appendix A. The problem is that I have already formatted all the titles with Heading 1, 2 3 on the document, so I try to use Heading 4 in order to name a letter A from the Appendix A title (which is created from two different fonts) as a Number for the chapter. I select the letter A, and then: Format -> Bullets and Numbering -> Outlined Numbered ->Select a window -> Customized -> Level1, I put just an A, and press OK. And then, the entire document is messed up with lots of letters in front of all headings. What happens here? Something is wrong and I don’t know what…… Please help…..
