Many of the websites (about 1/2 of the sites) that I regularly visit, now
give me a page cannot be displayed error for some reason. Yahoo.com works
fine, but usatoday.com gives me the error. I was able to ping the IP address
for usatoday, but can't ping the actual URL. I'm running XP Home edition
Fixpack 2 and IE 6.0 sp2. Any ideas? Thanks!

I just checked my tcp/ip DNS setting and it is set to "Obtain DNS server
address automatically" - is'nt this how it should be set? My provider
Charter Communications had me set it this way.

That's it:
START | RUN | type :nslookup | type:www.usatoday.com

is it ok?yes, then DNS is ok and you should find the solution for fixing your
IE6!otherwise,change your DNS server IP manually!

i don't know where you're from,so i can't give you the ip of DNS
server,sorry!

good luck!

nslookup gives me a server: Unknown address: 24.159.193.40
and if I enter the DNS server IP addresses manually I still get the same
error.
Any other ideas? Thanks by the way!

U should find another DNS server(not the one your ISP provides)and enter
it ,look for it online!it appears there's sth wrong with your ISPer. what
should u do?i don't know..sorry
