Page borders outside printable area of page

I am using MS WORD 2003 (XP).
I have a one-page vertically-centered document with a page
border, margins set to 0.5" all around. When I send to
print, I receive an error message that the page borders
are outside the printable area of the page; if I send to
print, the bottom border is cropped. I have tried
adjusting the margins and the header/footer area, as well
as measuring from the text area, but nothing changes.
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
You could always set all of your margins to about 0.7" and draw a rectangle
with no fill and no wrapping so it looks like a page border, but is within
the capabilities of your printer.
