Hi,

I am trying to put a border around a page. I am able to
put the border around the page but when I chech how it
will look on print review the bottom half of the border
is cutoff. I have tried altering the page margins but
thgis has made no difference, Any help in achieving this
would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Realise that Print Preview doesn't seem right, but does it print ok?
What happens when you try a different printer (if you have one)? Have
you checked that your printer driver from the manufacturer is up to date
and perhaps there is a bug in that driver that was fixed? Also see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/tblsfldsfms/Gridlines.htm for clues.

Hi,
I am using the latest printer driver and the page prints
as it appears in the print preview, ie missing half of
the bottom border.

Any other suggestions to correct the problem would be
most welcome.

Thanks

Just because it's the latest driver, doesn't necessarily mean "bug free".

To help pin-point issue as to being "Word" or "printer driver", can you
try printing to another printer which would force printing with another
driver?

Two possibilities to do this if you don't have a second printer available:

1. print to the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer "printer" and
view the resulting output. It will create a file with a *.mdi
extension, which, from Explorer, you should be able to double click on
and view the electronic version to see if border the same.
2. Setup a PostScript printer, and direct output to a file. View the
resulting output in a PostScript viewer. You'll have to get one if you
don't have one, though, e.g. Ghostscript or something. I realise this
may not be of interest or viable for you, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

Finally, is the bottom of the border encroaching into the "can't print"
part of the page for this printer? May printers can't print all the way
to the edge of the paper.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
