When trying to package a presentation for cd powerpoint tells me cd is not
writable. I have copied before and it has worked fine. I tried two CD RW and
they are definitely CD RW one used and blank and one brand new.
Anybody got any ideas? (Powerpoint 2003)

It sounds like you are trying to write directly for the cd from powerpoint.

It's more reliable (like it works) if you package everything to a new folder on your computer. As powerpoint/windows
does not know / support every CD writer that exists in the world.

Then use the CD writing software that (probably) came with your cd writer to write the new folder to a blank cd (or
cd-rw)

Or even the file maybe formated in directcd filesystem
Note, Powerpoint uses the Windows XP burner, try burning using it..

lost?

(that would be Drag-to-Disc)

I'm just curious. Do you have Roxio Dray-toDisc running?

I then copied and pasted to the cd and that worked fine. But it has been
working previously and I dont understand why it has suddenly stopped. Also
what happens if it needs to be played on a pc without powerpoint?
