Hi all,

I just assembled a system using a P4PE-X motherboard. Upon starting it up,
it made this very bizarre warbling noise (high and low tones alternately)
and then shut down. It did display a bios startup screen but I couldn't do
anything. Now it refuses to do anything.

Anyone know what happened?

TIA

Jon

It's DEAD Jim.....err Jon

And the correct answer is ..........

Faulty Power Supply. Apparently that is the sound it makes when the
hardware monitor detects a problem, in this case the 3.3v line was going up
to 3.6-3.7 volts and thats where it draws the line and shuts down.
