Oversized PST

I archive my .pst file to keep it under 2GB, the last
archive was last week.

Eventhough I archived the .pst file last week, Outlook
2000 has fozen due to Oversized PST file.

I successfully used the 2 GB Truncation tool to reduce
the size and create a new .pst file.

My problem is with the Inbox Repair Tool, the new .pst
file will not complete the scan, in Phase 7 the following
error message pops up; "An error has occurred which
cuased the scan to be stopped. No changes have been made
to the scanned file."

Without the Inbox Repair Tool scan, I am unable to
recover my .pst files, any suggestions?

Operating System is XP Professional

Outlook 2000 is the program

Thanks,

Mac

Truncate it again. It's probably still too large.

(I changed my reply address; remove all CAPS and _underscores_ from the

It was truncated three seperate times, the last one
truncated 200MB and it still did not work, should I keep
truncating more?

I have used Outlook regularly with PST files in the 300 to 600 mb range.
If you are having problems with one of 200mb, something else is wrong.

It's 2GB not 200MB ;-)

Have you tried running scanpst.exe against the file after truncating it?
