Ok I have this program called speed fan that takes 3 different tempatures.
One of the tempatures gets as high as 90 degrees celcius or 104 degrees
fahrenheit. Then my whole computer shuts down but all the power lights stay
on the computer, and the monitor goes into stand by. Why is it overheating
and can I fix this?

Thanks

It can be many things. I would look for a fan that is not working or is
not working at full speed or just a lot of dust. Blocked vents is another
problem.

Hi,

90C is roughly 194F, not 104F (which equates to ~ 40C). The latter would be
safe temperatures. If yours are the former, then you have a major problem
with overheating. Adding case fans and increasing ventilation are a *must*.
