Overflow problem

I have an Access 2003 application where I've tried to upsize a table to SQL
2000. The table will export but the data won't. When I try to append
Access data to the SQL table I keep getting an "Overflow" error. I can
append a few lines at a time, but not the entire table. Can anyone help me?

Is there a date field in your table?
Please check the data in that field.
If there is a data in that field less
01-Jan-1753, SQL will prompt you with
a overflow error.
