Outloook 2003 not sending from correct account!

I can't send emails from the same account from which the email was sent to -
without having to click on 'accounts' and select an email address.

Let me explain. I have a number of email accounts (from different companies
I work with). Say I get an email, sent to (e-mail address removed), I want to
reply from (e-mail address removed) - automatically.

And if I get an email from (e-mail address removed) I want to reply from
(e-mail address removed) - automatically.

At the moment I have to click on the 'accounts drop down list' and select
which account I send from, as Outlook randomly decides which email account to
use. This is really annoying as I have to 'reply to' and 'forward' many
emails each day.

Surely it is possible? I hope you can help.

HI Dianne, thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I am getting desperate!

I'm afraid that this did not solve my problems. I have carried out all the
changes, as you advised ( to all my accounts). I then closed Outlook 2003
and opened it again.

Still the same problem! I have downloaded SP2, if that makes any
difference, but that was on the day that it was announced - not recently.

Any other thoughts? All 'replies' are from the one email account (unless I
change it) and it is the least used one - wouldn't it be? It would be handy
if I could just make a change so that my most used accound could be the one
to reply from - which is the account that I have set up as 'default' in
settings.

If it helps any, I can sometimes 'forward' from the account I want to. I
have 'detected and repaired'. I have also uninstalled office 2003 and
re-installed.

I hope you can help. (tears hair out!)
