Greetings list,

I have a quick question and am also needing something somewhere that will
explain in further detail how POP3 works with Outlook 2003.

Scenario: I have a remote user that had been using Outlook 2003 with
Exchange services and is now unable to use them from his location. In order
to allow for him to connect to our mail server, we switched him over to a
POP3 connector. All of his settings are correct and he is able to receive
email without issue. However, it appears that the setting in his
Send/Receive groups settings are not responsive to the time limit he has
listed. I have had him set this time to 1 minute, since he is impatient for
one and two, was used to seeing email fly out of his inbox with Exchange
services enabled. If you can tell me if there is a setting other then in
the Send\Receive Groups settings to allow for more automated delivery and
receipt of emails on a POP3 account, I am all ears.

I'm having a similar problem. Niot seeing any replies to
yours as yet. Have inquiry into my ISP. Had no problem
with remote access using Outlook 2002. Have new laptop
with Outlook 2003. Can send but not receive even though
I've used identical settings. Any ideas? I'll pass on
the info I get from my T-1 ISP (if ever).
