Hi all,
I hit a somewhat perplexing problem here.
We just got a new set of notebook in the office and I got a HP NC6230 while
a colleague got a HP tablet. Both run XP Pro SP2 and Office 2003 SP1.
Individual profiles are set on each machine but all other configurations are
the same; security, exchange proxy, etc... Basically, apart from the
username/exchange account, everything else are set exactly the same.
Problem: my colleague can fire up Outlook and connect to our exchange server
in the office from any connection, wired or wireless, anywhere. I can't get
it to work outside of our corporate network (unless I use VPN which is still
back in corpnet).
I've looked at some KB articles and they point to fixes that are all covered
in Windows XP SP2. What am I missing? It's getting really frustrating not
being able to connect directly. Any pointers will be much appreciated.
Thanks.
joe.
