i want to use outlook, not outlook express, as my default
mail. how do i set this up? every time a question comes
up it says to contact my administrator. there is no
administrator when you have a private computer is there?
how do i know what settings to use ie: pop3, http etc?
you would think that if microsoft wants you to use one of
their products they would make it simple to connect to?
can i use outlook with my current email account,
mailsender.net? if so what would be the correct settings?
i have my own domain, can this be used with outlook?

What version of Outlook do you have and exactly what steps are you going
through to try to set it up? Exactly what messages pop up and at exactly
what point?

XP. I'M USING THE NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT UNDER TOOLS IN
OUTLOOK. I'VE ALSO TRIED THE IMPORT/EXPORT KEY UNDER
FILE. I'D HAVE TO SET IT UP AGAIN TO FIND OUT EXCATLY
WHAT THE MESSAGE SAID. BUT I CAN'T SEND OR RECEIVE UNDER
WHAT I HAD SET UP. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT TO ENTER IN
THE BLANKS WHEN I DO SET IT UP SUCH AS, THE INCOMING AND
SMTP AREAS.

i'm using windows xp. in outlook i'm going to the tools
menu and adding a new account. but how do i know if the
server info i put in is correct? is there any other steps
i'm missing? i'd have to try and set it up again to find
out what the error message said. thanks

Don't write in all caps. It's considered shouting.

If you don't know the incoming (POP) and outgoing (SMTP) servers, you'll
never get anywhere with any mail program. For SBC Yahoo, for example,
they're pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com and smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com, respectively.
Ask your ISP.

Because your ISP's setup instructions told you what they should be.
is there any other steps
i'm missing? i'd have to try and set it up again to find
out what the error message said.

Then set it up again and post the exact text of the error message.
