I'm using outlook 2003 and I have the following problem. When I click on
outlook to open it sometimes it opens like it should. The next time it will
open but immeaditly minimize itself. Yet again, it will not open at all. Is
there a solution to my problem?
It works fine once it is open.

On one of the times is appears not to open, use Task Manager to see if
there's an existing OUTLOOK.EXE process running (on the Processes tab). If
so, something is keeping Outlook from cloing properly and you may find out
why by reviewing this: http://www.slipstick.com/problems/close.asp
 
I went to the site you recommended to read and I found the answer. I have
Norton running on my laptop and sure enough, the email scanner was causing
the problem.

You're welcome. There's never a real reason to scan incoming or outgoing
mail with an antivirus program and Symantec's products seem more prone to
poor Outlook integration than most others.
