Try opening Outlook using the ".../CleanViews" switch. The
link below will give you the instructions on how to use it.

Also try (if the above doesn't work):
Close outlook, find and delete all these files in a single attempt:
outcmd.dat
extend.dat
frmcache.dat
Then launch outlook.
(If using Windows 2000 or XP, you will need to enable searching
hidden and system folders.)
Then if still not working, try:
Look for the "Inbox Repair Tool" in
Start | Programs | Accessories |System Tools
If you don't find it there, just perform a find on your hard drive
for "SCANPST.*". This will bring up both the executable and
the Helpfile that accompanies it.

a PST file that holds Outlook email.

To enable Large Table support, right click on Personal Folders and select
properties. Select Advanced. Check the box to enable large table support
and select OK until you return to the main window.

hello,
my outlook 2000 would not run when i open it. it will only
go as far as showing the green msoutlook logo and will
always hang up. ctr-alt-del says it's not responding. i
tried uninstalling/repairing the program (and even tried
to uninstall the whole msoffice program) but always get
the same hang up result. can anyone help me?
