Outlook won't launch..

Squonk's Tears

when I try to open the small blue outlook screen appears
with the hourglass then after a few seconds the hourglass
goes away....nothing. When I check the task manager,
outlook is hogging 99% and nothing else will run. I need
to get back in there and access messages, addresses etc.
Anyone know how to get back on line??

What version and patch level of Outlook?

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Squonk's Tears
