Why won't my Outlook 2003 SP2 (Windows XP SP2) close; why can't I change
profiles (it always opens the last one since a re-boot). Thanks.

There is no such version. Outlook 2003 SP1 is the most recent. What leads
you to believe it doesn't? What are the exact symptoms and what are your
exact steps to try to close it?

Do you have the options set to ask for the profile when you start Outlook?

OK, so I have Outlook 2003 SP1 (whatever is the most recent). Yes I have it
set to ask for profiles, but it only goes to the last profile since my last
re-boot, ie, I have to re-boot the computer to change profiles. The reason I
know it's not closing is that it's in my system tray (which indicates it's
OPEN). This just started happening within the last month-6 weeks (since that
last update??).

You must have some app running that is keeping Outlook open. If you use the
Task Manager to stop all OUTLOOK.EXE processes, then restart Outlook, does
it then ask for the profile? Have you looked at
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Faq/outlookdoesntclose.htm to see if something
there helps?
