I have just installed a new Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 server. I am now
having a problem with certain users in the field accessing OWA. They type
in the mail.domainname.com/exchange address and it pops up the logon box.
When they type in their user name and password, the box just goes away and
then comes back. When it comes back, it has changed the user name field
from jsmith to mail.domainname.com\jsmith. Although, I can go to multiple
locations and in some places I can access these same users and in other
locations I have the same problem that they do. Has anyone experienced
this?

Thanks,
Greg

Ask in an Exchange newsgroup as OWA is part of Exchange not Outlook.

Would that be the inside domain name (inside.local) or the outside domain
name (outside.com)?

they should use domain\username format

The NetBIOS/legacy name of the domain - DOMAIN not domain.com
Would that be the inside domain name (inside.local) or the outside
domain name (outside.com)?
