Outlook wants to send receipt on non-default POP account

Every time I collect my POP mail (on 2 accounts) I get an error from the
non-default account saying it's unable to send a message. There's nothing in
the Outbox, so I presume it's a receipt. I can't send mail on this account
so how can I get rid of the message that Outlook wants to send?

Point the outgoing server for that non-default account to an outgoing server
that will allow you to send. The receipt should then be sent.
