Outlook vs Outlook Express

I recently installed Outlook, after using Outlook
Express. If I remove OE, will it effect my Outlook
program? Thanks.

Does that apply to Outlook 2003? I don't have OE installed but
Windows Update recently flagged a patch for OE to be installed on my
system. If I understand WU properly, it's only supposed to flag
patches for software loaded on our systems. I figured that was a
harmless glitch, since OE isn't installed (verified) the patch will
never be used.

As I understand it, all versions of Outlook "need" OE...if you have somehow
been able to get around this and it's working OK, I guess that's fine, but I
don't know much about WU so you might want to get a second opinion :-)

If you have any recent version of Windows, you do have OE installed. You
may not use it, but it's there.
