Outlook vs OExpress

Hello,

I am contemplating using Outlook over OExpress that i am currently using. My
question is that in OE, one can backup the various mail folders individually
whereas in Outlook, there is only one folder, PST file. In case of OE, if one
of the folders gets corrupted, at least the other folders may still be safe.
I would like to know that in case of Outlook, what would be the consequence
if the PST file gets corrupted.

Also, in OE, we can choose the folders that we want to back up (that which
are regularly used and mails added to). In Outlook, is there such an option
or would we be required to backup the entire PST file everytime.

For my work, emails and their backup is of prime importance and I actually
back the data everyday.

Thank you in advance.

If the PST gets corrupted and the Inbox Repair Tool can't fix it, then all
your mail, appointments, tasks, contacts, etc. become inaccessible.

Coping an entire PST for backup purposes is very easy.

Thanks. Noted your comments. If I may inquire, from the stability standpoint,
which program would you recommend?

I find both stable. I decide based on the needs. If I don't need
calendaring and task management, I use OE. If I do, I use Outlook.
