Apparently during an automatic Windows update, my Outlook
2000 got upgraded to Outlook XP. Now Outlook says it
can't open for the user name that is running. ( I don't
understand that) Then it says run set-up. I don't have
an XP set-up disc and when I use my Outlook 2000 Pro CD it
does not fix the problem. Help!!!!

Impossible - Updates NEVER upgrade your software. Are you sure you didn't
just get a PDA with Outlook 2002 on it?

Thanks. No, THis is my old PC and all of a sudden it started Outlook XP where it used to show Outlook 2000. I can't figure out why? Ted

I assure you that this cannot happen on its own with a Windows Update. Nor
an Office Update. Are you the only person who ever touches this computer?
You've verified your version of Outlook in help | about ?

I sure would like that Auto-update site ! Might get Longhorn if I did a XP
upgrade :-)
