Hi!

Noob Learning Outlook 2000.

Had a reminder, deleted it, now Paperclip guy sez...

"Cannot turn off reminder. You maybe reminded again. The
message you specified could not be found."

Probably because I did delete the message.

How do I fix this error so the reminder stops appearing?

TIA - bubba6

Start Outlook one time with the /cleanreminders switch.

Start->run->Outlook.exe /cleanreminders.

Milly;

Thanx for takin' the time to reply.

I had previously tried...
[from the Run Window...]

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE /cleanreminders"

And the program err'ed w/unable to find program...
OUTLOOK.EXE /cleanreminders

In looking up the err in MSKB, I found out about the
command line switches, but the products supported
referenced Outlook '98 instead of '2000. So I thought the
command line option support had been dropped.

When I got your response, I tried it again, but this time
changed the syntax to...

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE " /cleanreminders

....and the command line seems to have worked fine! The
command line switch needs to be *outside* the quotation
marks. The reminder appears to have been successfully
dismissed.

Thanx for your kind help and assistance!
Regards - Wayne [aka bubba6]
