Subfolders under the InBox can be displayed. Click on the customize button
and select the folder.

Yes true. Go back and look and what the original poster was asking: a
subfolder under Tasks, no Inbox. You cannot add a non-default Task folder
to Outlook Today.
 
I know that Microsoft uses Data Binding to the Tasks. Would anybody have an
example to the code actually used?

You can extract the source of Outlook Today, if you wish. There's a
document in the Microsoft Knowledgebase describing how to create your own
Outlook Today page.
 
I am aware of that process and actually worked with that. However, calendar,
messages and tasks point to a data binding dll. Hence, I do not see the
code. I searched everywhere I can think of but are unable to come up with
some example code. Once I have that, I am pretty sure I can create my own...
