What version of Outlook? It all depends on the version, which is an absolute
requirement that I wish people would learn to give when posting questions
here!!

| How can I change the .pst folder from which Outlook Today gathers its
| data?

What is it you want to do? You can tell Outlook to use a different PST file
entirely if you wish...but I'm not sure what you're trying to do.

Firstly, my abject apologies to Milly Staples and any other MVP who read my
post- I just wasn't thinking!

I am half way to switching off W2k, and permanently using WXP. Either system
is currently available, with dual boot.

W2k (C drive) has Outlook 2000 installed, on C drive, using a pst folder on
the D drive, holding data accumulated over several years.

WXP(local drive H) has Outlook 2003,SP3 installed. It can see the same pst
folder on the D drive, so everything like appointment, tasks, contacts etc
is accessible.

Outlook 2003 is accessing its own folder for the display of 'Outlook Today'
info. I would prefer that it got its data from the old pst folder on the D
drive. How can I do this please?

I expect eventually to dispense with the W2k OS.

Ah, thanks - it makes it so much easier to figure this stuff out when we
have the versions included in the post.

For Outlook 2002 (no SP3 for Outlook 2003), you can select Tools->Email
Accounts->Use the dropdown at the bottom to set the delivery .pst file.

OK, done that, thanks. And yes, it was a typo - I really am using Outlook
2002, SP3!

But, although I now have most of the icons in the shortcut column working
OK, the 'Outlook Today' button causes an 'Unable to display folder.'
message.

Is there a way forward from here please?
