With the new layout design in Outlook 2003, the Outlook Today page needs an
upgrade. Some content is now useless, and other content could be added. A
user should be able to decide if to show the messages section (which has
become obsolete now that the navigation pane and the three column design has
been incorporated), if to show tasks incorporated to the calendar (because it
is easy to loose sense of time for each task when it just comes in a separate
list), and if other content should appear. Other content could be favorites
folders, notes, hyperlinks, shortcuts, etc. More than 7 days should be
allowed in the calendar section. Finally, there should be more design themes
to it than the standard, the winter and the summer.
