Outlook Today black hole

I've identified what I consider a bug.

Outlook will allow you to move or copy an email message to the top-most
"Outlook Today" folder, but there's no way to look at files in that folder
directly (you just get the Outlook Today screen). A co-worker accidentally
moved a message there, and couldn't figure out how to get it back. I was
able to recover it by doing an Advanced Find with some information on the
file, which was found in some obscure folder called IPM_SUBTREE. From the
Advanced Find window, it could be moved back to a viewable folder.

Future versions of outlook should prevent users from moving objects to
Outlook Today.

Right click on the outlook today folder and choose Properties. On the
Outlook Today tab, remove the check from the box that enabled OT and you'll
be able to browse the messages. Or use advanced find to search the Outlook
Today folder.

Wrong. Right-click the root of your personal folders file, choose
Properties and click the Home Page tab. Uncheck "Show home page by default
for this folder". Click OK, then click the PST root in the Folders List.
You should see the messages now.
