2 days ago my default names stop coming up when I type first letter of the
name, any suggestions would be appreciated

I totally uninstalled Outlook, and then re-installed and recreated profile
and it is still not bringing up names unless I have just did a email within
the past couple of days. I'll try renaming the file, is there any other
things I can try?

Also, there is no nk2 file on the system

If autocompletion is working at all, then there must be an NK2 file on your
system. The file is in a hidden folder so searching won't find it unless you
enable viewing hidden files and folders.

The Outlook version is 2003, the issue is on my managers machine and she has
left for the day, I will make sure that she has view hidden files clicked.
Probably won't have anything else till tomorrow, left early today. Appreciate
all the help.

The only way autocompletion is working is if I have keyed within past 2 days,
then Outloo 2003 remembers the name. This is my managers system and she is
going crazy having to type each name in.

She has told me that no one is being created so now what can be tried, I'm
going crazy with all the emails, and trying to search and find what it could
be, could it possibly something in the registry has gotten corrupted?

I've also asked her to try this-Go to Tools | E-mail accounts, select "View
or change existing directories
or address books", and click OK. If you don't see the OAB in the Directories
and Address Books list, click the Back button, then select "Add a new
directory or address book", then "Additional Address Books", and add the
OAB. Then keep clicking Back until you get back to the first dialog box,
and go back to the Directories and Address Books list as you did earlier.
Once the OAB appears in the list, select it and then click Change to make
sure the Contacts folder(s) you want to display are listed. If any of them
aren't listed, you'll need to enable those Contacts folders as Outlook
Address Books by right clicking the folder, selecting Properties, clicking
the Outlook Address Book tab, and checking the "Show this folder as an
E-mail address book" box. Make sure you restart Outlook after making these
changes.

And she is wrong.

As I already explained, the NK2 file is in a folder that is hidden by default
and unless she enabled showing hidden files and folders, she won't be able to
find it in a search. See if anytyhing here helps:

OK, I found the nk2 file on my pc and sent her the location of where to look
to find it, and if I have I know she has it. NOw is there any other things
that can be tried while I am waiting, I like to know what to go to next so I
am not wasting time

Locating the NK2 file necessarily won't help you. Autocompletion is not a
robust or reliable feature. It frequently stops working usually because
Outlook loses its connection to its autocompletion cache. This can happen
for a number of reasons, most often because Outlook is not exiting
completely and thus not writing to the cache. Make sure you run no add-ins
or sync software that might hold Outlook open after you exit. After you find
and resolve the problem that is preventing Outlook from exiting properly,
you may need to create a new Outlook profile to get autocompletion to work
again. If you're lucky you'll be able to migrate your old cache to the new
profile following directions here:
