Outlook to Lotus notes email

I wouild like to use Outlook to connect to lotus notes email instead
of the lotus client to read and respond to email.

Does this work properly? Do I need anything more than out of the box
outlook to connect?

if you have Outlook 2002, you can use the free-from-Microsoft Lotus Notes
connector.
