Here is my problem. The CEO of my company (and many other VP's) live and die
for Outlook and their mailbox. Their mailboxes range from 2GB to just over
3GB. The CEO's box is 2.2gb. He likes to take the laptop home, create a
bunch of outbound email, then come in in the morning and synch up. However,
it is a constant battle and there is usually hanging going on in the
process. As of right now, when he synchs, it hangs on "sending outgoing
messages". Here are my questions:
1.) Anyone have the problem with the outgoing messages issue and have a
potential solution?
2.) How can I turn on logging for the synch process to view information on
why it was hanging later/
3.) Is their a limitation within Exchange 2000 (Enterprise) with respect to
how large a user's mailbox could be. If this is documented, please tell me
where.
4.) How are others dealing with VP's that feel they just can't let go of
email. There has to be a more efficient way. I try to convince them to save
important email to their home drive out on a server and the reply was that
Outlooks search function is much more efficient than the regular explorer
search functions.
Thanks.
