Outlook suddenly starts a lot of IO activity

I have a user on whose machine, Outlook suddenly starts using up tons
of "IO Other " write/reads. Also the cursor changes between the pointer
nd the hourglass. Lots of Page Faults too
Any ideas out there?

Faulty Add-In?
Failing hard drive?
Failing memory bank?

I could go on guessing al night if you don't provide any details.
