When typing a new message, the style defaults to paragraph rather than normal
(Tools\Styles\....) and I have to manually highlight and change the entire
message each time back to normal. How can I make the message default to the
normal style?

What is your e-mail editor? Word?
 
Thanks for asking Chuck. Under Tools\Options\Mail Format, I do NOT have the
"Use Microsoft Word to edit..." box checked. My messages are in HTML format.
In my original message below I should have typed Format\Styles\Normal (not
Tools\Styles). Much thanks for any help.
