Can anyone tell me how to get Outlook to really exit under XP? I close it
but it's still listed in the task manager.

Ctrl/Alt/Del
click on "Processes" tab, select desired image name, click "End Process".

It does not seem to do that for me. Are you sure it is running? It is
showing up in the task list or the process list?

If you are using a PDA, Franklin Covey Plan Plus!, Fax software, other
add-ins that hook into Outlook, then you will get the TSR behavior.

Not always it would seem. I am using the current Palm (T-3) software
linking to the Outlook contacts notes etc. and I and not getting the TSR
behavior. However there are different software solutions and configurations
that, I guess, could.
