Today, outlook (v. 2002) started closing automatically -
like it's timing out. Twice I lost work in email.
What could be causing this? Did I select a weird command
or something?

Thanks.

We have this problem and I also want help. Outlook disconnects every time we
start a new task. For example, it disconnects when we send an e-mail, when
we leave Inbox, and so on. This happens on only one of our two computers.
I've tried "Tools" and "e-mail accounts." Any suggestions?

My Outlook shuts down when I search for an address book entry starting with
m or later. I use the "contacts" as my default address book and it has over
1500 items. I wonder if the size is the problem.

Other than that I have no suggestions.

Since a folder can contain 64K items, I'd be surprised if 1,500 entries is
an issue.

Try removing the Outlook Address Book service from your profile, restarting
Outlook, and adding it back in again. If that doesn't work, try creating a
new mail profile.
