I can stop the kids from getting on the computer, but once in awhile I let
them on for homework...They now have access to my Outlook e-mail program. I
NEED to PASSWORD PROTECT the program!! (Or at least have the option to do
so!) This is VERY frustrating!! It seems like such a simple and logical
option to offer. HELP!

You can create a password protected Personal Folders file. For example,
right click on Outlook Today/Personal Folders and select Properties >
Advanced button > Change password. Make sure that you do not lose or forget
this password as Microsoft does not offer any utilities or tools to
recover/reset said password.

Even if I create a persona file, the Microsoft Outlook still opens up every
time I sign in. Plus---I can't find "Outlook Today".... I am such a novice
to all this, even tho I've had email for years. I used to have Outlook
Express before I switched to Microsoft Outlook, and Outlook Express, I
believe, gave me the ability to create a password before I could open any
emails. I can't even find the old plain "Outlook Express" anymore. Help me
find Outlook Today, please (sorry I'm such a doofus).

You didn't mention what version of Microsoft Outlook you are using, but if
it is Outlook 2003, just bring up the folder list (click on folder looking
icon at bottom left) > right click on personal folders folder and select
properties > advanced button > change password.
