Outlook should have a "Send and delete thread" button.

A lot of email that is sent is in response to another email asking a
question. Most of these messages do not require a user to save the initial
email containing the questions. For instance, if your boss says, "When will
this month's report be ready?". you have to hit the reply button, type the
response, hit the send button, then go into Outlook and find and delete the
initial email from the boss.

Wouldn't it be easier if there was a "Send and Delete Thread" button that
would delete the initial email after sending the response? This button would
be in addition to the existing "Send" button.

You don't have to "find" anything. If you're replying to a message, the
original will be the selected message when the Reply compose window closes,
so you can simply press Delete at that point.
