Outlook should be able to be minimized in the notification zone

I think it will be great if we can use outlook directly in the notification
zone (at the right of the bar tasks)... Just Clonse the Outlook's window and,
if we want to send/receive mails, we use the right click on the outlook's
icon and choose the good command. Just like MSN Messenger or Skype.

What version are you on? Minimizing Outlook to the tray has been possible
since Outlook 2002 (through the registry) and via the UI in Outlook 2003;

But it doesn't work in a standard way (like the other apps the poster
mentions).
It's unintuitive and annoying. And frankly head-scratching that the Outlook
team implemented it in the way that they did.

That's an old song by now, isn't it?
 
Not until it gets fixed. People are apparently still confused by it... as
they're still posting about it.
