Outlook should allow users to set different out of office messages for
idifferent classes of recipients - e.g. A corporate user may wish to set
different messages for nternal and external recipients or a home user may
wish to set different messages for those in their address book and those not

Roady,
I agree that this is a support newsgroup ... but if you will notice, the
original entry was marked as a "Suggestion for Microsoft", not as a
"Question". If MS didn't want suggestions here, they shouldn't have made
that an option when designing this forum (or created a re-direct to the
appropriate place when a user selects that option).

This is a support newsgroup. For providing product feedback see;

Note that this isn't directly a product change on Outlook but on Exchange as
well.

They didn't. There's no option to "make suggestions" here!

Gordon,
There are a couple of different methods of accessing this forum. One is via
an NNTP newsreader and server, and the other is via a web browser (accessing
the MS Office Online Community - http://tinyurl.com/64m5v)

Within the web browser interaction method, when creating a new post, a user
is presented with the options of:
Question (with a question mark in red circle icon)
Suggestion for Microsoft (with a voice bubble icon)
General Comment (no icon)

The orignal message in thread has a voice bubble next to it, indicating it
was a Suggestion.

Hope this helps,
--Ron

For the record, I prefer to read the forum via NNTP interface, but posting
is via the web interface, since that one provides for email noifications of
replies

well I've got the web access open, (from something else) and there's no
"suggestion" bubble here
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx

And I've just gone to your URL and can't see a "suggestion" bubble there
either!
