upon switch on, outlook starts to send outgoing msgs. I did not write any. Is

Version of Outlook? What indicates it's sending out messages?

Tips of the month:
-What do the Outlook Icons Mean?
-Create an Office 2003 CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 1

Hi Robert,

Version is MS Office 2003
On the toolbar (down to the right) it writes: " sending outgoing msg 1of10"
There is no trace(copy) of them in the "sent mail" box.

Thanks, it worked. Still do not know what receipt means, but Outlook 2003
stopped sending mails which were not created by me.

Great.

Still do not know what receipt means

A read receipt is an acknowledge by a mail recipient's client to a mail
sender's client that a message was opened by the receipient's client. A
delivery receipt is an acknowledgement by the mail recipient's client to the
mail sender's client that a message was placed in the recipient's Inbox.
