Please can someone help I have outlook XP and am running
Exchange 2000.

My problem is that when I am sending an email internally
to one particular person this is what I am getting

Alistair Hutchison <Stephen.whitely>

I would imagine that it should look like

Alistair Hutchison <Alistair.Hutchison>

Can anyone advise as to why this might be happening. I
have checked the alias under his properties on the
exchange server but this is correct.

I hope I have explained myself.

If anyone can help in anyway I would be very grateful.

Regards

David

Is this on the dropdown list you get when you type in the "To" field? If so
use your arrow keys to hightlight the name and then press DELETE. You should
now be able to add the name again and do a manual resolve for the name.

Tips of the month:
-What do the Outlook Icons Mean?
-Create an Office 2003 CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 1

Thank you for you reply.

I have tried doing this but when I then send him an email
the problem then reoccurs - I thought that it may be
picking it up from Exchange somewhere!!

Yep, sounds like that indeed unless he is in your Contacts folder as well.
Have you also checked the X400/X500 address properties for the user?

Yes I have checked the X400 properties and they are
correctly showing his username. I have also deleted .NK2
file from my local drive which holds the display names
(nick names) information which unfortunately did not
correct the problem.
Thank you.
