Outlook rules don't run on their own

Hi All,

I have set up some very simple rules that categorize my emails. Whats
weird is that when I hit "Run Rules Now ..." everything works
beautifully. However, when emails fall into my inbox automatically, the
first few rules are active, the last few don't take.

I just don't get it. If they work when I hit the button, why don't they
work when the emails arrive in the inbox ? All the rules are checked.

Is this a known issue ? Am I missing something ?

Is there anyway I can debug this ?

Cheers

I thought it was just me....

I had the same problem, but seem to have stopped it happening by always
setting up the rule using the "Advanced Options" button on the Create Rule
dialogue box, and doing it from within the the message.

I don't know why this should work when the rule is so simple that it
shouldn't need the Advanced Options, but it has done for me, and it hasn't
forgotten any rules since I started doing it the long way round...
