I have Office 2000 on my computer and the Outlook
application ahs been damaged when a virus invaded my
machine. As a result, I am not able to use the email
portion of Office which would be very helpful to me. As
an alternate, I have been using Netscape.

The Office SW was loaded on my computer by my previous
employer. When I left that company, I requested that I be
given my computer and the related SW. I have a signed
note from the CEO transferring all the hardware and SW to
me. However, I do not have the CD to reload the Office SW
to repair the damage portions.

Is there a way that I can get a copy of the SW so I can
repair the Outlook portion of Office 2000 and be able to
use this portion of my SW?

Any assistance you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your attention to my request.

.
i would contact the person who sold the SW to you and
get the CD or you will have to BUY a new copy of the
software.

I strongly suspect that if the CEO of that company were to check his license
agreement with Microsoft, he would find out that what he did was not legal.
I suppose it could be, but what you're describing is not typical for
business licenses.

If the CEO won't give you the original CD (he can't make a copy of the one
the company has, as that's a violation of copyright laws), you'll have to go
buy one. In doing so, you'll then have your own license.
