I am seeking software that will handle the following...
(1) Customer data - Company name, contact name, address, Phone , Fax, Email
& Notes
(2) Facilitate regional 'grouping' of customers
(3) Manage service 'cycles' - Calendar driven at monthly, bi-monthly,
quarterly & half-yearly periods - based on the date established
Currently I have a substantial Customer database within QuickBooks Pro.
I am aware that Microsoft Outlook will sync. with QuickBooks Pro, therefore
my preference would be for software that will interface with Outlook & or
QuickBooks Pro.

Outlook Contacts will:
manage all of these (and more).
manage distribution lists for e-mail/fax, and hence can
manage mailouts.

(2) Facilitate regional 'grouping' of customers
Outlook Contacts will:
group Contacts by Categories, which you may define yourself.
display Contacts filtered by data items (fields) such as "State".
manage groups by assigning any Contact to multiple Categories.
permit the definition of custom Views by filters including

Category.

(3) Manage service 'cycles' - Calendar driven at monthly, bi-monthly,
quarterly & half-yearly periods - based on the date established.
Outlook Calendar will:
manage recurring appointments linked to Contacts, and based on
the Cycles
you define.
Outlook Tasks will:
manage recurring Tasks based on the Cycles that you define.
link Tasks to Contacts.
Outlook Journal will:
Manage Contact "conversations" (phone,e-mail etc) for
record keeping
purposes.

Depending on your needs and investment capacity, Outlook,
Word, Excel and Access can be integrated into a single
business solution that spans the capabilities of all products
within a single User Interface.
