I have a user that is trying to open a .pst and it is asking for a password.
The user says he didn't apply a password to the .pst and when he uses his
current password, it doesn't work. Does anyone know of or have a solution.

Thanks!

I put a password on my pst to try it out and it the link on the web page
stripped it. I appreciate the help (as does the user)!

try something like pst19upg.exe from microsoft
you can get it from net if you do a search like "pst19upg.exe download"
on google. this can be used to strip off the password marks from a pst.
I am posting the documentation on how to use it .

-------------------------
This utility was originally designed to upgrade the PST format to
version 19. One of the utilities side effects is that it can strip out
PST passwords.

*Always make a backup of the PST BEFORE using*.use it to strip passwords.

*This is a two step process and requires 3 times the hard drive space
that the PST currently occupies.*

Instructions for stripping PST passwords:

1. Run: PST19UPG -x filename.pst
This process creates a new file with the name of: filename.psx

2. Run: PST19UPG -i filename.psx
This process creates another new file with the name
